What is the DRIVE Electrical Stimulation Device?
Utilizing our experience in developing medical equipment,
and focusing on developing an exclusively "rehabilitation device", we developed a two-muscle simultaneous electrical stimulation device.
This device helps central nerve patients at the Advanced Neuro Rehabilitation Clinic site at Inobe Hospital realize the effectiveness of electrical stimulus therapy.

The "DRIVE" device will evolve the rehabilitation industry to be more effective than ever.
■Various stimulations can be given to two muscles at different times, or at the same time.
Bending the legs, or stretching the arms is a simple action, but requires multiple muscles to be used simultaneously. Not only can DRIVE stimulate multiple "simultaneous" or "separate" muscle groups with "2 channel/ 2 pole conductors", it also utilizes a "hand switch" method that allows physical and occupational therapists to output manual stimulation at their desired timing. These features provide a wider-than-ever range of treatment options and a shorter period for expected results.
■It was designed with an emphasis on functionality and usability.
Hand switch can be adjusted to stimulate according to the symptoms of the patients. It is also designed to be easily operated with only one hand, enabling the practitioner or assistant to easily apply stimulus, while reducing the burden on the patients.
■Patients can carry out their own rehabilitation by utilizing the Auto Voluntary Training mode.
For patients that do not require aid, they can perform their own rehabilitation without the assistance of a physical/ occupational therapist
by using the Auto Voluntary Training mode.
Training patients to have more of a purpose with rehabilitation will result in more motivation and a quicker expected recovery time from symptoms.

Shoulder joint flexion, Elbow Extention Training
・Simultaneous stimulation of the front fiber deltoid muscles and triceps so that the elbow extends when moving the arm upwards.
Ankle Dorsiflexion Training
・Electrically stimulate the tibialis anterior muscle in coordination with the action of lifting the toes.
Knee Joint Flexion and Stretching training
・Alternate stimulation to the quadriceps and hamstrings in coordination with bending and stretching the knee joint.
